Short story
This is a set of webpages that address a common URL
that often consists of the domain name or IP address only and the path
to the root directory ("/") on an IP-based network. Each web site is
hosted on a computer (computers) called a web server accessible via a
network such as the Internet or private local networks. Web browsers
have created special programs called web browsers. There are different
types depending on their destination, audience and content.
Sites are stored on the web server in the form of
files. Each file contains information that is sent directly or after
some processing to the web browser when it requests the content of a
page. Sites that process information are called dynamic, and those who
do not do so - static. Static sites are easier to create and work faster
but do not allow content to be changed. Almost all modern sites are
dynamic.
